Well, I'm sorry to all our friends and family, but apparently little Miss Moogle decided to elope earlier this week. At least she had pictures taken to share. Adorable aren't they? ;)

What Rhymes With Ostrich?
Moogle is really into figuring out rhyming words right now. She'll coming running up "Fox rhymes with box!" or "Does blackberry rhyme with snackberry?" Of course, she comes across words that even she can't invent plausible sounding rhymes for. So, what exactly does rhyme with ostrich?

Peeps 2012
Kids and Peeps are just always such a fun combination! Moogle knew what they were and couldn't wait to dig in this year. Buddy was a bit more cautious for his first try of this sticky treat.

Spring Memories
I know I've said it before, but I have to say it again. Sometimes the Moogle just blows me away with what she remembers. Today I had one of those moments. When the weather is nice, we often walk to do our shopping instead of driving. So, when Daddy pointed out that he was in need of some new sneakers and running shorts we were happy to add our first walk/stroller ride to Kohl's of this year to our agenda. There are some gardens in front of the store and as we're going by Adara says to me "Mommy, do you remember the time we saw the goslings in the bushes here? They were looking for their Mommy." I did remember seeing the goslings and we talked about how they would be all grown up now maybe with goslings of their own. I couldn't remember exactly when we had seen them, but figured it must have been last year since she remembered it and I knew I had taken a picture at the time. So, of course, back home I had to look up the picture. The date this picture was taken is 4/22/10. I kid you not. That is almost two years ago, not one. The moogle would have been about 21 months old. I don't know, may be it's normal for kids to remember stuff like this, but I've gotta say I find it just fascinating!

The Incredible Shrinking Toddler?
At least he seems to wish he could be. He is constantly trying to fit himself into various toys. The latest venture was an attempt to get into the doll house. Previously he has tried to "slide" down his car racing ramps. He really seems to want to fit and think that he can or that I can help. When trying to fit in the house he kept signing for me to please help, lol. :P Sure let me just aim the "honey I shrunk the kids" ray beam on you! Hehe...

Recent Favorites
Yesterday the Moogle was video chatting with Grandma and Grandma asked if she could type her name. She replied by spelling her name out loud. Grandma told her good job, now could she find the letters on the keyboard and type it. "I can't. There's only one A!"
She is also stuck on calling scribbling "scrubbling" and very insistent that I am the one who is wrong.
I had to pick Buddy up early from school for a doctor's appointment last week (ear infection). So, Daddy got to pick up the Moogle. On his way out he ran into a friend and they were talking then he turns to leave. "Daddy! no, no! You're forgetting Buddy!" Troll Daddy... "Oh, he went to live with the gypsies. He won't be coming home with us anymore." The Moogle (now close to tears): "No! No! But Daddy, I like him!" (Something she wouldn't normally admit - ha! Should have had the tape recorder!) ;)
Buddy was "begging" for pieces of a bagel I was eating and kept saying and signing "more please." I would give him a little piece and he'd sit next to me and eat it, then ask again. Inevitably, I finished the bagel. So he's asks for "more please" and i show him the empty plate. He shakes his head and says "no more" looking all despondent. I had to laugh! :)

Labeling
My Little Bud has entered the labeling phase. He goes around pointing to everything in sight saying "That?" "That?" Eventually he will add in the "what's" I imagine. When we answer his inquiry he gives a curt little nod then moves onto the next item of interest. A little sponge absorbing it all. This really is one of my favorite stages. It's so exciting to see what interests them.
He chose a book about space for a bedtime story the other night and as I was reading he points to a star and says "star!" He was so excited about it and proud that he could tell me what it was. Later, I learned that he had also chosen a star stamper for an art project at school that day.
