Remember Me

Moogle - "Mommy, may I have your camera?"
Me - "What do you want to take a picture of?"
Moogle - "I want to take a picture of my penguin sled so you can remember it when I am no longer with you; when I am bigger and live in my own place."
Me - (Glad she clarified, but still silently crying inside as I hand over my camera)

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Buddy set up his toys and requested I take these pictures:

Such a silly boy!  And, he is the only child I know whose favorite color is brown.

Drama Queen

On a trip to the grocery store with Daddy:

Moogle: "I don't want to live in this world anymore."
Daddy: "Why do you say that?"
Moogle: "It's always so snowy and cold.  I want to go somewhere warm."
Daddy:  "Well, there are a lot of places in this world that are warm right now. (Insert further explanation here).  Where did you get that statement from?"
Moogle: "Jasmine said it in the Aladdin movie."

Good thing it was calm old Daddy in the car.  Not sure I could have reacted calmly enough to get to the bottom of a statement like that!  :P

Quotable Moogle

What better than hot cocoa with marshmallows after a romp in the snow?  Perhaps the statement put forth by my 4 year old while enjoying her treat. "Mommy I need more marshmallows.  I accidentally ate all of mine."

When I Grow Up

Moogle has named her first "When I grow up" job.  She's been mentioning it pretty consistently for the last month now, so I thought it would be good to document (you know, before she changes her mind).  Moogle would like to be a teacher when she grows up.  She wants to teach Chinese to high school students.  I think that's a pretty cool aspiration for a preschooler.  Kudos to her Chinese teacher at school for being such a good role model!
